CNC pack
Everything for cutting a matched pair of halves from one Paulownia blank. See CNC and 3D printing for the workflow.
- 1-glue-face.stl
- Pass 1 as a height map: blank top with every groove, pocket and cup cut down from it, and the flip holes through. Set the model top to the stock top in your CAM.
- 1-glue-face.dxf / .svg / .pdf
- The same pass as a drawing: groove centrelines, pocket and pin outlines, the blank and flip holes, labelled with depths — for 2D toolpaths or checking.
- 2-shape.stl
- Pass 2 after the flip: the two half-bodies standing on their glue faces, a moat cut through round each, tabs bridging to a full-thickness frame.
- setup-sheet.html
- The setup sheet, below.
3D print pair
Both halves in one STL, glue faces flat on the bed and side by side, with the printer clearances on the wire channel and pin holes instead of the CNC ones.
Setup sheet
A printable page for the workshop: blank size, tools and depths, the steps for both passes and the flip, a cutting list for the wire and ballast, the hooks and rings to buy, the mass breakdown and any design checks to look at before cutting. Use Save as PDF in the print dialog for a PDF copy.
